The garden is slowly coming to life again as winter recedes...

Most of my energies have been focussed on my other blog lately where I have been recording the drawings I have been doing as I endeavour to complete 100 days of doodling.
I'm now half way through the challenge and am really enjoying putting pen to paper.
I haven't drawn this much in years! I stumbled a bit last week, but hopefully am back on track again now. 50 doodles to go...

  1. Hello Jill, I am delighted to have found your blog. I love your doodles. Are you doing them in a journal? While I'm asking questions, what are those beautiful pink flowers? I have never seen anything like them. I am your newest follower and I have been having fun going through some of your past posts. Your photography is wonderful; I especially like the photo of your dog standing on the dock . . . that is an incredible photo. I also love your little peg angels, they are adorable.
I am a retired activity director, a wife, mother and grandma, who started blogging almost two years ago and find it so enjoyable. I love to share ideas and make new friends.
I would love to invite you over to visit and possibly follow me back.
    Your newest blogging sister,
    Connie :)

    1. Hi Connie, thanks so much for your lovely comments. The pink flowers are the flowers of the Warratah Tree...a native of Australia. Stunning aren't they? As for my doodles, I bought a packet of good quality photocopying paper...500 sheets. I like the fact that it is not so precious so I'm less cautious about starting to draw. I have been posting my drawing on a separate page on my other blog... http://jillbutlerdesign.blogspot.co.nz/p/100-days-of-doodling.html . Now I'm off to see your blog :)
